Another warm day in store for the Midlands.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) - Another triple digit day on tap for the Midlands.
High temperatures are expected to exceed 100 degrees on Sunday as high pressure dominates the area.
So far in the month of July, four of seven days have reached the century mark.
This time last year the Columbia Metro Aiport had only recorded two 100 degree days which occurred in the month of June.
In 2012, seven days have already made that mark.
There is some relief in sight on the SkyWACH 7 Day Planner as a cold frontal boundary approaches the Midlands on Monday.
This will bring rain chances to the forecast starting Monday and lasting through the week as the cold front stalls just to our northwest.
As a result, daytime high temperatures will only reach into the upper-80s by mid-week.
Stay tuned to the SkyWACH Weather Team for complete details on the relief from the heat.
