COLUMBIA (WACH)- A varsity baseball coach at Orangeburg-Wilkinson high school has been suspended by District Five after allegations of assaulting a player on the team during a game.

The coach has been suspended pending the outcome of an internal investigation into the matter, and the outcome of law enforcement's investigation, both of which are ongoing.
