Columbia man charged with felony DUI in deadly crash

WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) - A collision that left one person dead Sunday night is under investigation by the West Columbia Police Department.

Chief Dennis Tyndall says James Mason Snell, 24, of Columbia is charged with felony DUI in the crash.

According to Tyndall, the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Meeting Street and Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia.

Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harman says Forrest A. Watson, 26 of Mississippi was killed when the vehicle he was a passenger in struck another vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.
