LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A former Humana sales manager has pleaded guilty to taking bribes from a South Carolina company to steer insurance brokers to the company.

U.S. District Judge Charles Simpson on Wednesday accepted the plea from 48-year-old James Albert Wegner Jr. of New Port Richey, Fla., to a charge of traveling to aide racketeering and commercial bribery.

Wegner and another former sales manager, Glenn Fine, were accused in a bill of information of taking money from Cutler & Associates of Columbia, S.C., in exchange for the referrals.

Fine did not have an attorney listed in court records and has no listed court date. Two others named in the plea agreement haven't been charged.

Prosecutors say Louisville-based Humana cooperated. A message left for Cutler & Associates President Shep Cutler was not immediately returned.
