GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Forecasters say the Upstate of South Carolina could see some snow, but they only expect it to stick in the mountains.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Thursday afternoon and evening for the mountains of Oconee, Pickens and Greenville counties. Forecasters say up to an inch of snow could stick to the ground on those slopes.

Heavy rain is expected mostly west of Interstate 95, and the weather service says the rain could end with some wet snowflakes in the Upstate. But no accumulation is expected outside of the mountains.
