In an effort to have continue the message of awareness about diabetes, citing seven million people who have diabetes and don’t know it, and generate much needed money for research, the American Diabetes Association, the Columbia Police Department, and the Frye Foundation have partnered for the first “Gettin’ Cocky for Diabetes Football Benefit.”

Athletics officials at South Carolina say a clerical error submitted to the NCAA is behind the report of a 39 percent graduation success rate for the football team. The NCAA said Tuesday that the school resubmitted the data, increasing the rate to 55 percent.
