Monday, March 05, 2012  State officials hope that a week of awareness about severe weather will help South Carolinians be prepared if a big storm hits. The South Carolina Emergency Management Division and the National Weather Service will spend this week reminding people that severe storms, tornadoes and flash floods are significant hazards in the state.

Monday, February 28, 2011  As February comes to an end and March begins, we are reminded that severe weather season has returned to the Midlands.  In fact, this week is Severe Weather Awareness Week for South Carolina.  This makes it a great time to be sure you know what to do in the event severe weather strikes where you live!
