    Tuesday, December 01, 2009  The possibility for heavy rains, flooding, gusty winds and isolated severe thunderstorms exists Wednesday.  A strong low pressure system moves northeastward out of the Gulf tonight.  This is the setup for Wednesday storms.

    Wednesday, June 17, 2009  The midlands faces another day of strong to potentially severe thunderstorms. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 pm for the following counties: Aiken, Calhoun, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lexington, Newberry, Richland, Saluda and Sumter counties. A watch means that conditions are favorable for severe storms.
