Wednesday, December 26, 2012  An enormous storm system that dumped snow and sleet on the nation's midsection and unleashed damaging tornadoes around the Deep South began punching its way toward the Northeast on Wednesday, slowing holiday travel.

Tuesday, December 01, 2009  The possibility for heavy rains, flooding, gusty winds and isolated severe thunderstorms exists Wednesday.  A strong low pressure system moves northeastward out of the Gulf tonight.  This is the setup for Wednesday storms.

Wednesday, June 17, 2009  The midlands faces another day of strong to potentially severe thunderstorms. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 pm for the following counties: Aiken, Calhoun, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lexington, Newberry, Richland, Saluda and Sumter counties. A watch means that conditions are favorable for severe storms.
