Friday, July 29, 2011  The SkyWACH Weather Team is forecasting dangerous heat and humidity to persist through the weekend.  Feels like temperatures may hover near 110 at points Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tuesday, July 19, 2011  Once again conditions will rise back into dangerous territory for the Midlands.  High temperatures in the upper 90s combined with dewpoints in the 70s will make a dangerous heat and humidity cocktail for the human body. Heat Index Values, or 'feels like temperatures,' above 105 degrees are hazardous to the human body.

Wednesday, July 13, 2011  Columbia saw a high of 101 on Tuesday and will see a high around 100 today.  Add in the heat index and things only get worse.  On top of that, thunderstorms are popping up on radar and prompting more alerts.
