College GameDay coming to Columbia

COLUMBIA (WACH) - ESPN's popular College GameDay show will be coming to Columbia next week.

The live three-hour show, which features Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Samantha Steele, will be aired nationally beginning at 9 a.m. ET, Saturday, Oct. 6, on ESPNU, with the final two hours broadcast on ESPN.

The show will take place from the Horseshoe in the middle of the Carolina campus.

The sixth-ranked and undefeated South Carolina Gamecocks (5-0, 3-0 SEC) will host the fifth-ranked and undefeated Georgia Bulldogs (5-0, 3-0 SEC) at a sold out Williams-Brice Stadium at 7 p.m. Saturday night. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN with Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit describing the action and Heather Cox working the sidelines.

This will mark the sixth time that ESPN’s College GameDay will visit the South Carolina campus.
