Newberry College Wolves gear up for 2010 Season

NEWBERRY (WACH) - Todd Knight leads the 2010 Newberry College Football Team into what he hopes will be a championship season.

The Wolves lead the way on the 2010 preseason All-South Atlantic Conference Football Team boosting a conference-best ten selections.

With six home games on the schedule - Knight says he feels very optimistic about what the Fall will bring.

"We've got a lot of returners back. We lost a couple of key individuals last year but I feel like we've got a better overall team this year really pulling together working hard - so I think we got a shot to be pretty good," said Knight

"The focus and the fact that we are a team. We all get along we all like each other and we're just ready to play this game as a family," said Junior OL & Irmo High School Graduate Ben Inabinet

"We're not overlooking anybody we just gotta come together as a team and do our job and we'll beat anybody we play," said Junior LB & Ridge View High School Graduate Apollo Stretch.

The Wolves open up their 2010 season at home against Livingstone on Sept. 4.
