Gamecocks to kick off fall camp

The Gamecocks will have their first football practice of the season Friday evening.

COLUMBIA (WACH) - The South Carolina football team is ready to begin fall camp.

The first practice is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bluff Road practice fields.

The first week of practices are open to the public, according to the University. Players will not be available for autographs and pets are not allowed on the practice fields. Fans attending the sessions must stay behind the yellow rope. Cameras, both still and video, are allowed for the first 15 minutes of practice only.

Fan appreciation day is set for Sunday, Aug. 12 at the Colonial Life Arena at 12:30 p.m.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE (NOTE: Dates/times subject to change) - First Week: 

Friday, August 3 - 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 4 - 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, August 5 - 7:30 p.m.

Monday, August 6 - 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday, August 7 8:30 a.m.

Wednesday, August 8  8:30 a.m.

Thursday, August 9  8:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
