EUGENE, Ore. – Former Gamecock Jason Richardson earned his first career Olympic berth after taking second overall in the 110-meter hurdles at the US Olympic Trials being held at Hayward Field in Tracktown USA.

Richardson had the top time of the semifinals at 12.98 before running the same time in the finals to place second overall. Richardson is the reigning World Champion in the event after taking gold in Daegu in 2010.

Lashinda Demus, Tiffany Ross-Williams and Johnny Dutch all hit the track Sunday on the final day of competition at the US Olympic Trials. Demus and Ross-Williams will compete in the women’s 400-meter hurdles, and Dutch will compete in the men’s 400-meter hurdles.
