COLUMBIA - A familiar face will take over a new Midlands high school basketball program.

The Richland Two Board of Trustees approved Terry Dozier as the new coach of the Westwood High School RedHawks.  The new school, located in Blythewood, opens this summer.

Dozier is a retired professional athlete who enjoyed a successful 12-year career playing basketball around the world. He played professionally for the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA and on the collegiate level for the University of South Carolina.

The hiring will bring a little sibling rivalry to Richland Two as Terry’s twin brother Perry is the boys’ basketball coach at Spring Valley High School.
