AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) -- Fred Couples has the lead and Tiger Woods has a lot of work to do heading into the weekend at the Masters.

The 52-year-old Couples made seven birdies Friday to shoot 5-under 67 and surge into a tie for the lead on this, the 20th anniversary of his title at Augusta National.

Jason Dufner shot 70 and will play in Saturday's final group with Couples, tied for the lead at 5 under.

Woods, meanwhile, made birdies on two of the first three holes but gave that all back and more. He shot 3-over 75 and was 3 over heading into the weekend.

The cut was 5-over par, meaning Trevor Immelman's birdie on 18 keeps him around for the weekend. Tom Watson was on the number heading to the tee box on 17 but finished bogey-bogey.
