COLUMBIA (WACH) - Gamecock baseball will begin SEC play Friday night as they kick-off a three-game series at Kentucky.

The series opener is set to begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Cliff Hagain Stadium in Lexington, Ky. Saturday's game is set for 2 p.m. and Sunday's series finale will be at 1 p.m.

The Gamecocks head into conference play after rallying from a four-run deficit to defeat Appalachian State 6-4 Wednesday night in Columbia. Evan Marzilli put the Gamecocks ahead with a three-run double in the seventh inning and a spectacular catch by Daniel Kassouf sealed the win for South Carolina.
