Columbia (WACH)- UNC scored three runs in the ninth including two on bases-loaded walks to take down Clemson 6-3 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium Saturday afternoon.  Clemson drops to 6-6 on the season, 0-2 in the ACC.

The Tigers took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after a two-run double by Dominic Attanasio.

Controversy struck in the seventh when Tar Heels' Jacob Stallings hit a grounder to Richie Shaffer at third.  Shaffer's throw was high and Stallings was tagged by Jon McGibbon at first, but was ruled safe.  Tommy Coyle scored from second on the play to tie the score at 3.

In the bottom of the ninth, Jason Stolz hit a one-out double to left, but the next two batters for the Tigers were retired.

Clemson closes out their series with UNC on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
