COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- LB Dantzler and Adam Matthews homered to lead undefeated South Carolina to a 9-6 victory over rival Clemson on Saturday.

Danzler sparked a three-run rally with a solo shot in the second inning. Matthews added a three-run drive in the third to give the Gamecocks a little breathing room.

South Carolina reliever Evan Beal (1-0) pitched four solid innings, retiring 12 of 13 over one stretch. Nolan Belcher got the final out for his second save of the series as the Gamecocks improved to 9-0.

South Carolina won the opener of the three-game series, 3-2 in 11 innings in Charleston on Friday night. This victory wrapped up the regular-season series against the Tigers (4-4) for the fourth time in the past six seasons.
