ALBANY, GA -  The Benedict College Tigers were held to a season-low 72 yards of total offense and couldn't stop the Albany State offensive attack and fell 37-13 to the Golden Rams on Saturday at the ASU Coliseum in an SIAC football game.

The Golden Rams jumped out to a 31-0 halftime lead and cruised in the second half in front of crowd of nearly 10,000 in their Homecoming contest. The Rams improved to 7-2, 5-1 in the SIAC, and moved one step closer to a bid in the SIAC Championship.

The Tigers dropped to 2-7 overall and 1-5 in the SIAC.

Benedict closes out the 2011 football season this week at home against Lane.  Kickoff at Charlie W. Johnson Stadium is Saturday at 2 p.m.
