(AP) -- CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd left the game in the third quarter after getting hit in the left leg against Boston College.  The Tigers defeated the Eagles 36-14 Saturday on Homecoming.

Boyd had X-rays at Memorial Stadium, then had an MRI at Oconee Hospital.  The X-rays and MRI were negative.

Clemson Sports Information Director Timothy Bourret says Boyd's status for next week's game against Maryland is questionable

Backup Cole Stoudt took over for Boyd, a sophomore who's thrown for 15 touchdowns and just two interceptions in Clemson's surprising 6-0 start.
