CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Sophomore guard Noel Johnson says he is leaving the school.
Coach Brad Brownell said Thursday that Johnson wanted to find a program that better fits him.
Johnson is averaging 2.9 points a game this season and 4.4 points for his career. He started one game this season and averages about 13 minutes while shooting 27 percent from the field.
Johnson's decision to leave Clemson leaves the Tigers with just nine scholarship players in Brownell's first season.
Johnson thanked the school for the opportunity to play basketball and says he is leaving with no hard feelings.
