COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Wofford coach Mike Young says he still feels overwhelmed by the Terriers first Southern Conference title and NCAA tournament appearance last March.

Young and his defending champions are favored to have another big year. Wofford has been picked to win the 12-team league's South Division by conference coaches and media. Appalachian State and first-year coach Jason Capel were selected to win the North Division by both groups.

The league's coaches discussed the upcoming season Thursday.

Young said there were several times this summer he would walk through the athletic offices, see his team's Southern Conference trophy and feel his knees buckle.

Wofford opens play Nov. 12 at Minnesota.
