CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Buffalo Bills rookie C.J. Spiller got one more ovation at Death Valley when Clemson retired his No. 28 jersey on Saturday.
Spiller was last year's ACC player of the year while setting 32 school records. And Tigers coach Dabo Swinney made sure it didn't take long to permanently honor "Lightning" for those achievements.
Spiller led the team's "Tiger Walk," and joined Swinney and his ex-teammates in the traditional run down the hill into the stadium.
Spiller's No. 28 was retired at halftime against Maryland, fans standing and applauding the former Tiger great.
