CONCORD, N.C. (AP) -- Returning to where she ran go-karts as a kid, Danica Patrick vows to get aggressive in NASCAR -- if needed.

Patrick will race on the big track at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the first time in Friday's Nationwide Series race, a week after James Buescher wrecked her at California.

Saying Thursday that Buescher hasn't apologized, Patrick told a story of how she "ran over" Sam Hornish Jr. as a teenager running go-karts at Charlotte.

Patrick says she's comfortable being aggressive in NASCAR, saying in IndyCar she sometimes comes across as "a pushover" because it's so easy to flip those cars.

Patrick doesn't plan to retaliate against Buescher Friday, but says, "If he in any way starts to act up out there, yeah, I'm going to do something about it."
