COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Less than three months after winning the College World Series in Omaha, it's back to work for the Gamecock Baseball team.

Head Coach Ray Tanner and his team took to the fields at Carolina Stadium for their first practice of the fall.

The guys also shared their thoughts on the upcoming season and the chance of a possible National Championship repeat.

"I'm starting to hear it a little bit more lately, but that's okay," Coach Tanner said.  "I'm glad people are still excited about it.  We've had a celebration that's lasted for a while and hopefully it will last a long time."

"It's good, you know, it's like coming home to family for us all to get back together, talk and try to get the new players involved in what we do here.  It should be great," adds Jackie Bradley Jr.

And there's more exciting news for the Gamecocks on Monday.  The team heads to Washington DC to meet with the President.

Coach Tanner says he's looking forward to the trip.
