Gamecocks shut out Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, AR. -- The Gamecocks took the season series from Arkansas Saturday, blanking the Razorbacks 5-0.

Starter Sam Dyson tossed a complete game, allowing six hits and striking out eight.

Bobby Haney led off with an RBI single scoring Adrian Morales. The Gamecocks added to their lead in the fourth inning on a two-run homer by Brady Thomas, scoring Jeffrey Jones.

The Gamecocks wrap up the series against Arkansas Sunday.
