Two former USC players and four former Clemson players signed free agent contracts with NFL teams Monday.
Ex-Gamecocks Safety Darian Stewart inked a deal with the St. Louis Rams. Stewart was the teams fourth leading tackler last season with 58 stops. Stewart's former teammate Lemuel Jeanpierre signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. Jeanpierre played both center and tackle for the Gamecocks.
Four former Clemson Tigers latched onto NFL teams via free agency. Tight end Michael Palmer signed with the Falcons. Palmer played high school football in the Atlanta area.
Camden native Thomas Austin signed with the Vikings. Austin started 37 consecutive games at guard for Clemson.
Former cornerback Chris Chancellor signed with Cleveland and defensive end Kevin Alexander signed with the Broncos.
