CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Indians hope to score for the environment with a promotion planned for Saturday at Progressive Field.

Fans will receive green ball caps made of plastic recycled from drink bottles collected at the ballpark.

The stadium also uses recyclable paper and cornstarch cups in the stands and clubhouses.

The Indians have trimmed their trash sent to landfills from nearly 1,300 tons in 2007 to about 700 tons last year.
