(AP) -- The Boston Celtics have stretched their latest double-digit winning streak while the Cleveland Cavaliers remain unbeaten at home this season.
Ray Allen drained a three-pointer with 0.5 seconds left to give the Celtics their 12th consecutive win, a 100-99 verdict over the Sixers. The Celts never led in the fourth quarter until Allen scored the last of his 23 points.
Paul Pierce poured in 29 points and helped Boston win without All-Star forward Kevin Garnett, who missed his second straight game with the flu.
The outcome keeps the Celtics 1 1/2 games ahead of the second-place Cavaliers in the NBA's Eastern Conference standings.
The Cavaliers ran their home winning streak to a team-record 23 games with a 101-83 trouncing of Toronto. LeBron James scored 33 points and became the fastest player in NBA history to reach the 12,000-point plateau, doing it 35 days past his 24th birthday.
