CHICAGO (AP) -- It was a solid Gould victory for the Chicago Bears against New Orleans Thursday night.

Robbie Gould hit the tying and winning field goals as the Bears pulled out a 27-24 overtime win against the Saints.

The Saints took their only lead of the night when Drew Brees tossed his second scoring pass of the game, an 11-yard throw to Marques Colston with 3:10 remaining. Gould forced OT by hitting a 28-yard field goal as regulation expired, then added a 35-yard boot to give the Bears an 8-and-6 record.

Danieal Manning took the opening kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown before Matt Forte and Kyle Orton ran for second-quarter touchdowns to put the Bears ahead 21-7 at halftime. Orton had three turnovers that led to each of the New Orleans' touchdowns.

The Saints wasted a productive game from running back Pierre Thomas in falling to 7-and-7. Thomas finished with 146 total yards, including a two-yard TD reception and a 42-yard scoring run.
