(AP) -- COLUMBIA, S.C.-- Clemson interim coach Dabo Swinney says he was glad his Tigers got the chance to play last week. He's just as pleased they have this Saturday off.

Swinney said Monday his players, his staff and himself need the next few days of practice to regain a sense of normalcy that disappeared when coach Tommy Bowden stepped down last week.

Swinney spent most of his time since Bowden's departure trying to unify the Tigers, saying he saw great improvement last Saturday, despite Clemson's 21-17 loss to Georgia Tech at Death Valley.

The Tigers face Boston College on Nov. 1.

Swinney says the coaches used much of Monday reorganizing offices for the rest of the season. The Tigers resume practice Tuesday, when they will work on correcting mistakes from the loss to the Yellow Jackets.
