COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina's board of trustees is expected to vote on contract extensions and raises for football coach Steve Spurrier and women's basketball coach Dawn Staley.

Board chairman Miles Loadholt said Thursday that both items are on the agenda for Friday's meeting. Loadholt would not go into details about the contracts.

Spurrier earns about $1.75 million a year in a deal that currently extends through 2013. Spurrier led the Gamecocks to their first Southeastern Conference title game this past season as Eastern Division champions.

Staley just ended her third season with the Gamecocks and was talked about as a candidate to take over at her alma mater, Virginia.

But Staley ultimately chose to remain with the Gamecocks. She has two years left on a deal that pays her $650,000 annually.
