USC still a top-five team in latest polls

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) - South Carolina is holding steady in this week's Top 25 polls at No. 5 after four wins last week including a successful trip to Missouri for the season's SEC-opening series.

The Gamecocks took two of three from the Missouri Tigers over the weekend, and secured easy mid-week wins over USC -Upstate and Davidson at Carolina Stadium. South Carolina is 17-3 overall and 2-1 in SEC play.

South Carolina travels to The Citadel on Tuesday night and then returns home to host Arkansas in the home conference-opening series. The Gamecocks are 14-1 at Carolina Stadium this season.

First pitch at The Citadel is set for 7pm on Tuesday.
