LEXINGTON (WACH) --- Two South Carolina are out on bond after being arrested on charges of stealing steel beams worth more than $10,000 from a church near West Columbia where similar thefts had occurred four times in the past.

Authorities accuse 49-year-old Ronald Wayne Welch and 28 year old Michael James Hall Friday of stealing the beams from the House of Praise located at 3833 Leaphart Road near West Columbia. The men were released from jail Saturday after each posted a $20,000 bond.

Arrest warrants allege that at about 12:45 p.m. on Friday, December 28 deputies saw Hall and Welch place steel beams worth more than $10,000 on a trailer that the men had parked outside the House of Praise at 3833 Leaphart Road. Authorities say. Hall and Welch previously had stolen additional steel beams from outside the church and sold those steel beams for recycling at CMC Recycling, 603 Godley Street, Cayce, on four separate occasions.
