COLUMBIA (WACH)- The No. 21/17 Gamecocks had three players score in double figures in a 65-45 win over S.C. State Friday afternoon at Colonial Life Arena.  Dawn Staley's team moves to 11-1 on the year.

Despite a sluggish start, USC slowly pulled away and held a 33-21 lead at the break.  Freshman Tiffany Mitchell notched her second double-double of the season with a career-high 21 points and career-high in rebounds with 11.

Aleighsa Welch also had a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.  Senior guard Ieasia Walker tied her career-high with six steals.

The Gamecocks will have a full week off from action for the holidays and will resume play Dec. 29 vs. Western Carolina.
