Newberry Wolves improve to 4-0

NEWBERRY (WACH) -The Newberry Wolves piled up 565 yards of offense on the way to a 47-22 victory over Carson-Newman in South Atlantic Conference action at Setzler Field on Saturday night.

Newberry is now 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the SAC and will play at Mars Hill next Saturday.  Newberry is the only undefeated team remaining in NCAA Division II's Super Region Two.

Newberry rushed for 335 yards on 48 carries with four players notching more than 70 yards. Quarterback W.T. Murden (West Columbia, S.C.) completed 17-of-26 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns and had six carries for 76 yards.
