COLUMBIA (WACH)-South Carolina's Gamecocks continued working on their game plan for Vanderbilt Friday morning.

Linebackers coach Kirk Botkin said stopping the run is perhaps the most important element for winning in the SEC. He says that's his most important message to his linebacker corps.  "If you stop the run, you got a chance to win.'

Botkin went on to say he has the advantage of depth this year, including four seniors.  "We’re going to put the best 11 out there," continued Botkin. "I’ve got four seniors at Mike and Will and a senior at Spur. If they get a little tired, we can spell you for a couple of plays. But we’re going to try to find the best 11 to put out there and they’re going to play. If we had to play today, it would be DeVonte Holloman at Spur, Reggie (Bowens) and Shaq (Wilson).

After this morning's practice senior linebacker Shaq Wilson talked about his role in teaching helping the younger players in the linebacker corps along.

"It's the last  go around, and we've got to do things the right way," said Wilson.
