EDENTON, N.C.- The Columbia Blowfish topped the number one seed Edenton Steamers 5-1 Thursday night to advance to the Petitt Cup Playoffs Championship Series for the first time in team history. The series will begin Sunday at 6:05pm at Capital City Stadium.

Columbia's Federico Castagnini led the game off with a home run to left field and the Blowfish offense was off and running.  After Castagnini homered Graham Saiko walked and later scored on a Zach Smith single off Steamers starting pitcher Ryan Woodring.

Stuart Pound and Saiko added home runs for the Blowfish.

The Blowfish will now return home Sunday for their final home game of the season. The Blowfish will either host the Forest City Owls or Fayetteville SwampDogs at Historic Capital City Stadium at 6:05 in game one of the Petitt Cup Playoffs Championship Series.
