ASHEBORO, N.C.- The Columbia Blowfish topped the Asheboro Copperheads 3-0 Thursday night in their final regular season game. The win clinches the number four seed in the 2012 Petitt Cup Playoffs. The Blowfish will travel to Wilmington to take on the Sharks on Saturday before returning home Sunday to host game two of the first round. The Blowfish will also host the if-necessary game on Monday.

In Thursday night's regular season finale, the Blowfish got an excellent pitching performance from Wyatt Brown. Brown gave the Blowfish six two hit innings while striking out six. Brown did not give up a run and got the win for the Blowfish.
