Benedict College football home opener will be on national TV

The Benedict College home football game on September 6 against Bowie State (the 2012 home opener) has been selected as one of six NCAA Division II national games of the week, and will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
The Thursday night game will kick off at 8 pm at Charlie W. Johnson Stadium.
Benedict is coming off a 2-8 year, and is preparing for its first full season under coach James Woody.  The team returns for fall practice on August 8.
CBS Sports Network is available across the country through local cable, video and telco providers on Verizon FiOS Channel 94 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 643 (1643 in HD) and via satellite on DirecTV Channel 613 and Dish Network Channel 158. In Columbia, the channel is available on Time Warner Cable channel 537 (1537 in HD) or Sky Angel channel 323. It is also carried on Benedict College's on-campus cable channel 32.
