COLUMBIA (WACH) — Gamecock fans have the opportunity to cheer for the baseball team in Columbia Wednesday before they leave for Omaha.

A team sendoff is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Carolina Stadium in the team parking lot.

The University asks fans to arrive at 10 a.m. and park in Lot 1, which is the grass lot by Williams and Blossom Streets.

Officals with the athletic department say Head Coach Ray Tanner will speak to fans before the team leaves for Omaha to play in the 2012 College Wolrd Series.

The Gamecocks will face Florida on Saturday at 9 p.m.

The game will be televised on ESPN.
