Nashville (WACH)- Christian Walker hit a two-run homer in the top of the 13th inning to propel USC to a 6-4 win over Vanderbilt Sunday afternoon at Hawkins Field.  The Gamecocks improve to 20-8 overall, and 3-6 in SEC play.

USC and Vanderbilt were tied 4-4 going into the seventh inning and remained that way until Walker's home run.  Matt Price pitched six strong innings in relief.

The Gamecocks jumped out to a 4-0 lead on the Commodores behind a strong performance from LB Dantzler.  Dantzler hit a solo homer in the fourth to give USC a two run lead.

The third baseman continued to pour it on in the fifth with a two-run RBI single with two outs.

Jordan Montgomery came on to pitch two scoreless innings in relief to earn the win.

The Gamecocks hit the road Wednesday at College of Charleston.  First pitch at 6 pm.
