Nashville (WACH)- Vanderbilt pounded out seven hits and scored seven runs in the fourth inning en route to a 12-4 win over USC Saturday at Hawkins Field.  The Gamecocks fall to 19-8 overall, and 2-6 in the SEC.

The Commodores struck first in the fourth on Spencer Navin's RBI single to left.  Vandy loaded the bases on USC starter Evan Beal and continued to pour it on.

Riley Reynolds base knock to right gave the Commodores a 3-0 lead.  Jack Lupo and Tony Kemp followed with RBI singles to put the game out of hand.

The Gamecocks scored three runs in the ninth, but it was not enough to overcome.

The rubber match will take place Sunday.  First pitch is at 2:00 pm.
