COLUMBIA (WACH) -Lexington High School's Shaq Roland is the winner of the 2011 South Carolina Mr. Football award.
Roland, who has verbally committed to play football at South Carolina, is the 4th straight USC commitment to win the award, joining Jadeveon Clowney (2010), Marcus Lattimore (2009), and Stephon Gilmore (2008).
Roland racked up more than 1,200 yards receiving and more than 20 total touchdowns while leading Lexington to an undefeated regular season. He will play in the Shrine Bowl on December 17.
