OMAHA, Neb. (WACH) -- SEC rivals South Carolina and Florida are only hours away from playing for college baseball's national championship.

The Gamecocks won two out of three from the Gators in the regular season.  Ray Tanner sends Forrest Koumas, a freshman from Lugoff-Elgin High School, to the mound for his first ever College World Series start.  The Gators counter with their ace, Hudson Randall.

The Carolina baseball team is scheduled to arrive at TD Ameritrade Park around 6 p.m. eastern. By then, there should be a decision on the availability of first baseman Christian Walker, who injured his left wrist during his final at-bat in Friday's win against Virginia.

USC athletics officials say Walker underwent a CT scan and X-ray Monday morning and has a hamate fracture in his left wrist.

Regardless of who wins the series, the SEC is guaranteed a third straight national baseball champion (LSU in 2009, South Carolina in 2010).
