TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- For the first time in a generation, Clemson and Florida State hookup without a Bowden coaching on one sideline or the other.

Bobby Bowden coached Florida State for 34 years, including nine when he faced son Tommy Bowden, who coached Clemson for nearly 10 seasons before giving way to Dabo Swinney in 2008.

Swinney and Florida State's Jimbo Fisher will be calling the shots Saturday, both possibly without their top offensive performers. Clemson running back Andre Ellington is out while Christian Ponder's status will be decided at game time by Fisher.

Florida State, Maryland and North Carolina State have two losses each in the ACC's Atlantic Division while Clemson has three, but owns wins over both the Terrapins and Wolfpack.
