CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson freshman receiver DeAndre Hopkins won't play against Maryland.

The school announced the decision Saturday less than an hour before the Tigers faced Maryland at Death Valley. Hopkins was the team's second-leading receiver with 13 catches this season, but sustained what the team called an upper body injury during Wednesday's practice.

Junior Marquan Jones will take Hopkins' spot.
