COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina linebacker Shaq Wilson continues to struggle with a hamstring problem and may miss the team's game with top-ranked Alabama.
Wilson missed the first three games this season and returned for 19th-ranked South Carolina's 35-27 loss to Auburn on Sept. 25. However, Spurrier said Wilson could not run or move as he had last season although the junior did recover two fumbles against the Tigers.
Spurrier said he's considering holding Wilson out the rest of the season and applying for medical redshirt. Wilson led the team in tackles in 2009.
Linebackers Tony Straughter and Quin Smith have filled in for Wilson this season.
