FAYETTEVILLE, AR. -- The Gamecocks notched their 3rd conference sweep of the season with 5-3 win over Arkansas Sunday.  South Carolina can win the SEC East out right and clinch the best record in the conference by winning two games against Florida next weekend.

USC got on the board from the get-go.  Christian Walker doubled to center field scoring Whit Merrifield.  South Carolina fell behind 2-1 in the third inning until Merrifield launched a TJ Forest pitch to left field tying the game.

Merrifield put the Gamecocks ahead for good with another homer in the eighth inning.  Merrifield went 3-for-4 on the day with three RBI.

Adrian Morales added an insurance run in the ninth inning with his 5th home run of the season.

South Carolina has one midweek game against Furman Tuesday before its season ending series against the Gators.
