Archie's injured his knee against Miami back last November and was lost for the season.  His case did not meet the criteria for a sixth year of eligibility established by the NCAA.

Archie started all 98 games he played in during his USC career.  Archie averaged 10.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.9 blocks and 1.14 steals per game at USC and became the Archie became the 41st member of the Gamecock 1,000-point club last November, prior to his knee injury.

"Although we are disappointed Dominique won't be a member of the team next season, he will always be an important member of the Gamecock family," South Carolina head coach Darrin Horn said.  "He played a significant role in building the South Carolina program over his career.  As always, we have the best interest of our players in mind, and we will continue to support Dominique in his future as an individual and with his professional career."

Archie will graduate from the University in May 2010 with a degree in African-American studies.
